Prostacor Supplement Facts

At Nutreance, safety and effectiveness are paramount in our mission to provide you with innovative natural remedies. That's why Prostacor has been carefully formulated using only the most effective natural ingredients with the highest safety ratings, according to extensive clinical research.

But it's not enough to simply combine dietary supplements recommended by scientific studies into a formula. The quality of the ingredients that make up any natural remedy are critical to its overall efficacy.

Just as you can buy fresh fruits or vegetables from a farmer's market that are of much higher quality than at your local supermarket, not all ingredients are created equal. In the same way, you may be able to purchase the same ingredient from two different suppliers, but the purity and potency may be entirely different. For this reason, we thoroughly vet our raw material suppliers to ensure that our natural remedies are comprised of only the highest quality ingredients.

Saw Palmetto Extract (berry) (25% fatty acids) Native to the southeastern United States, saw palmetto is a member of the palm family that is known for its calming effects on the prostate. The berries of the plant contain powerful antioxidants, and research has confirmed they significantly reduce inflammation in prostatic tissue. In a 2003 study in which participants were administered an extract of saw palmetto for three months, diagnosed prostate problems were found to be significantly reduced following treatment.[1]
Phytosterol Complex (40-45% beta sitosterol) Phytosterols, also known as plant sterols, are waxy substances that naturally occur in small amounts in a wide variety of grains, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. While phytosterols can vary widely in concentration and composition, we only use a phytosterol complex standardized for 40-45% beta-sitosterol, which is well known for its ability to reduce prostate volume and improve urinary issues caused by an enlarged prostate. In a systematic review of 4 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies conducted in 2000, the researchers found beta-sitosterol significantly improved urine flow and reduced urine retention.[2]
Stinging Nettle Stinging nettle is an herbaceous perennial flowering plant native to Europe and have been used for hundreds of years in natural medicine for their anti-inflammatory properties. Research has shown the root of the plant is highly beneficial for individuals suffering from an enlarged prostate, as it significantly improves urine flow and bladder emptying while limiting dribbling and the constant urge to urinate. A 2013 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study found that stinging nettle was more effective at relieving prostate issues than placebo.[3]
Pumpkin Seed The edible seeds of the pumpkin, also known as pepitas, pumpkin seeds are densely packed with nutrients and antioxidants. Long associated with prostate relief in traditional medicine, recent scientific research has confirmed the effectiveness of this common yet potent remedy. In a study of 1431 men between the ages of 50 and 80 with self-described prostate symptoms, the group that added pumpkin seed extract to their daily regimen saw statistically significant improvement in their symptoms compared with placebo.[4]
Lycopene Lycopene is a bright red carotenoid compound that gives tomatoes their vibrant color. Often heralded in popular culture for its ability to protect against prostate cancer, this nutritional antioxidant has also been shown to be beneficial for individuals suffering from an enlarged prostate. New research has indicated its ability to reduce the size of the gland. A study published in 2008 found that lycopene inhibited the growth of prostatic epithelial cells, thus shrinking the size of prostate tissue.[5]
Vegetable Capsule Many supplements that you purchase from the store use gelatin capsules to deliver their active ingredients. Not only are these capsules not vegetarian, as they are made from animal parts, but they are also often colored with harmful dyes to obscure their inner contents. But Prostacor uses only vegan, non-GMO vegetable capsules made from plant cellulose and contain no additional additives like colors or dyes. This ensures that our product is sensitive to dietary restrictions and completely natural for everyone to take.
Dicalcium Phosphate Dicalcium phosphate is commonly used in the production of tablets and capsules as a "flow agent." It is added during the bottling process to ensure that powdered capsule ingredients do not clump together but instead flow through the machinery with ease. This is essential to provide a consistent, uniformly mixed product.
Magnesium Stearate Magnesium stearate is present in trace amounts in nearly all capsule and tablet products. It is primarily used as a lubricant that makes the pill easier to swallow and allows it to slide more easily down your digestive tract. It also serves an important purpose as an excipient, meaning that it improves the solubility of the active ingredients and assists your body in absorbing the capsule contents.
Silica Silica is an agent used during the bottling process that causes the dried ingredients to flow more easily and prevent clumping. In this way, it ensures that all ingredients are evenly distributed into each capsule during the blending process.
